Chuck Milne
Chuck Milne is a PGA professional and longtime golf instructor. He has owned Vanco Golf Range since 1981 and is passionate about the game. Currently, Chuck is playing in the European Senior Tour, where he has had two top ten finishes.
He has been a golf professional since 1970 and played on the PGA tour and mini tours in 1976 and 1977. He then worked as the head pro at Battle Creek Golf Course in Salem, Or until 1980.
Chuck played more than 20 years in the Hudson Cup and has participated in 11 senior majors; including four British Senior Opens, three PGA Senior Opens and four U.S. Senior Opens. His awards include the 1999 senior player of the year for the Pacific Northwest Golf Association, winner of the Tri-City open, professional MVP in the 1996 Hudson Cup Matches, and Washington State Open Champion in 1973 and 1976, where he still holds the tournament record.
Chuck is a Northwest native and graduated from South Salem High School in 1966. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in 1970. He is married to Mary Lou and the couple has three big dogs that are their kids.
Jack Young
Jack Young is a PGA professional and a longtime Northwest golf instructor.
He has taught over 20 years in the Portland and Vancouver areas, helping more than 20,000 golfers from the beginner to the tournament champion.
Jack works with students of all ages and provides an opportunity for them to improve on every facet of their game through his vast experience, state-of-the-art video/computer equipment and a complete training facility.
His teaching philosophy is not based on any one model such as one plane, double plane, stack and tilt, natural golf, etc. Instead, he believes that there are as many unique ways to swing a club as there are golfers.
Jack is also one of the most experience clubfitters in the country, and offers this service free of charge at Vanco Golf Range, which he co-owns. His clubfitting tools include the likes of Callaway Golf, Taylor Made, Titleist, Ping, Tour Edge, Mizuno, Cobra, Nike and Adams.
